About

The author of this site, Zeinab Hassan Ashry, is a well-known figure in the field of Da’wah (preaching Islam) in Kuwait for English speaking ladies, Muslims and non-Muslims. She has been dedicating most of her time for spreading knowledge about Islam.

Education

– Zeinab Hassan Ashry, has Masters in Computer Engineering, from Waterloo University Ont., Canada.

–  She is a former Lecturer at College of Commercial Studies, PAAET – Public Authority for Applied Education and Training – Kuwait.

– She supervised the website of IICO (International Islamic Charitable Organization) and its contents both in Arabic and English from 1998 to 2010, and the website of Al-Alamiyyah Magazine as well. This work helped her gain a wide understanding of the Islamic charitable work all over the world.

Islamic Background

– She spent 12 years in Islamic studies in Dar Al-Qura’n in Kuwait where she studied a wide range of Islamic subjects including: Memorizing Qur’an, Tajweed, Tafsir, Islamic Creed, Islamic History, Women in Islam, Science of Hadeeth, Explanation of Hadeeth, Seerah, Fiqh of acts of worship and transactions, Arabic Language, … etc.

– She has a diploma in the science of Tajweed and Qiraa’at of the holy Qur’an.

– In addition, she has gained deep authentic Islamic knowledge through self studies of Islamic major heritage references of many great Islamic scholars such as Ibn Kathir, Al-Qurtubi,  Ibn Hajr al-Asqalane, Al-Nawawi, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Al-Qayyim, Al-Jawzi, Ibn Rajab, al-Ghazali, as well as books of many other scholarly figures of Islamic history. She relies excessively on these authentic sources of Islamic knowledge in her D’awah work, intending to carry this kind of knowledge to new Muslims and non-Muslims as well.

Authentic Islamic Sources

Examples of the authentic sources she widely used in her D’awah work:

1- Fat-h Al-Bari – Explanation of Saheeh Al-Bukhari by Al-Hafidh ibn Hajr al-Asqalane.

2- Explanation of Saheeh Muslim by Al-Nawawi.

3- “Al-Jawab Al-Sahih…”: The right answer to those who changed the message of the Messiah” – 7 volumes – by Ibn Taymiyyah, which is the best ever written book refuting the Christians claims about Prophet Jesus (pbuh).

4- “Al-bidayah Wal-Nihayah (The Beginning and the End) by Ibn Kather.

5- “Zaad Al-Ma’ad” (Provisions for the Hereafter) by Ibn Al-Qayyim

6-  “Al-Tib Al-Nabawi” (Healing with the Medicine of the Prophet) by Ibn Al-Qayyim

7-  Al-Fawaid  (A Collection Of Wise Sayings) by Ibn Al-Qayyim

8- Al-Rooh (The Soul’s Journey After Death) by Ibn Al-Qayyim

9- “Hidayat Al-Hayara ” ( A Guidance to The Uncertain in Reply to the Jews and the Christians) by Ibn Al-Qayyim

10- The Devil’s Deception [Talbis Iblis] by Ibn Jawzi

Biblical studies

– She was also involved in Biblical studies of both the Old and New Testaments. She taught several courses in comparative studies between Islam, Judaism and Christianity, including:

– She has been involved in Da’wah work for English speaking ladies from all nationalities and races, Muslims and non-Muslims alike for decades.

– She has been dedicating most of her time for spreading knowledge and awareness about Islam. She teaches many courses in various Islamic subjects, gives lectures, writes books, pamphlets, articles, … etc.

Other Activities

–  She shared in preparing Islamic courses, D’awah programs, arranging Islamic competitions, and giving answers for misconceptions about Islam.

– She is also active in Da’wah through the internet. She taught several courses on the Day of Judgment and Women’s Rights in Islam using the web facilities. She communicates with the new Muslims, gives them support and answers their questions,

– Although she is an active volunteer with the Islam Presentation Committee (IPC), she gives D’awah at other places in Kuwait, for example: TIES Center, Women Section of Social Reform Society, different schools, Campus of Kuwait University, hospitals as well as other societies.

– She has been active also in supporting Muslim Ummah causes such as Palestinians’ rights, women’s rights, charitable work, as well as aiding sisters and families in distressful situations.
